Future Plan: Vision - 2020

NTS™ has developed its 10-Year future plan – Vision-2020 which is based on NTS™'s past experiences and future market demands. NTS™ Vision-2020 aims at reaching out to 10 million direct beneficiaries by year 2020. During the 10-year plan, NTS™ will initiate following programmes:

  • Testing and Assessment (T&A)
  • Human Resource Development (HRD)
  • Network and Partnership Building (NPB)
  • Institutional Capacity Building (ICB)
  • Regional and International Cooperation (RIC)
  • Research and Development (R&D)
  • Information and Knowledge Management (IKM)

NTS™ Vision-2020 prime focus will remain testing and assessment services for educational institutions, government, corporate, private industry and professions and also the HR organizations. However, international standards test and assessment products and services will be offered on the patterns of TOEFL, SAT (I and II), ACT, GRE (Gen and Subject), GMAT, MCAT, LSAT, IELTS, etc. while keeping in view local requirements, conditions/environment and education system of the country. NTS™ will conduct CBT all over the country through LAN/WAN setup of educational institutions with centrally developed/controlled software but under strict security. In addition, following new products/services will be offered:

  • Assessments from Grade-5 to Professional Career
  • Tests for Physically Challenged People
  • Coalition Building for Quality Education Policy
  • Other Goals under the Vision - 2020 are:

  • Test Item Contributors will be increased up to 5,000
  • Construction of NTS™ Center and availability of 07 MTC to conduct tests and Training
  • Training of 10,000 staff and partners in various disciplines and skills
  • Partnership enhancement to 1,000 organizations and institutions within Pakistan
  • Networking & information sharing all over Pakistan
  • NTS™ Support Pool enhancement to 150 Cities of Pakistan
  • Enhancement of capability to conduct paper-based test for 1 million candidates in 150 cities and computer based test facility in 100 cities of Pakistan simultaneously with a provision of 20 more cities
  • Data entry processing capacity enhancement to 100,000 application forms per day
  • 1,000 institutions as test centers on NTS™ panel
  • Setting-up of Data Center
  • Improved security and secrecy due to highly secured Printing Press and Copyrights of contents, use of information & knowledge for planning & action programs
  • Research and advice to educational institutions and policy makers for formalization of quality education and assessment policies in the country
