Prof Dr. Sajid Qamar (Chairman)

Prof. Dr. Sajid Qamar is the Chairman of NTS's Board of Directors (duly elected by the board), simultaneously serving as the Rector of COMSATS University, Islamabad (CUI). His distinguished career is marked by a wealth of diverse experiences, a remarkable educational background, owing to which, he possesses an extraordinary capacity for foresight and innovation. Notably, he has held pivotal positions such as the Chairman of the Department of Physics at CUI and the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute in Swabi. The Honorable Chairman of the Board presides over both the Board/General Meetings of NTS.
Prof. Dr. Sajid Qamar's leadership extends beyond the university realm, as he plays a pivotal role in driving both COMSATS University and the National Testing Service-Pakistan to new heights. As the Chairman of the Board, he stands as the cornerstone in ensuring that all decisions align with NTS's best interests and contribute to a secure and thriving future for the organization. Dr. Tahir Naeem (Director, NTS)

Bringing a wealth of experience spanning more than three decades, Dr. Tahir Naeem (Director, NTS) currently leads the charge in steering the Planning Development & Human Resource Development at COMSATS University, Islamabad (CUI). He holds a distinguished PhD from the University of Leicester, UK, in the School of Business and holds an MBA in the field of Management of Technology. Notably, Dr. Naeem has previously held the key role of Project Manager at the Private Power & Infrastructure Board for the Government of Pakistan.
Dr. Tahir Naeem's extensive and invaluable professional journey has significantly contributed to NTS's trajectory towards success. His diverse expertise and leadership are instrumental in guiding the organization towards its goals. His exceptional contribution to NTS is evident in his role as the 'Convener' of three Board Committees: Human Resources, Nomination, and Procurement Committees of the Board.

Mr. Muhammad Azam (Director, NTS)

Mr. Muhammad Azam, the current Treasurer of COMSATS University, Islamabad (CUI), brings to the table a rich and diverse career spanning over 18 years, marked by his remarkable contributions in various domains. His professional journey has seen him excel as the Head of Accounts and Audit Department at the Hydrocarbon Development Institute, as well as serving in the esteemed capacity of Senior Audit Officer with the Pakistan Military Accounts Department.
Notably, Mr. Muhammad Azam is a highly regarded Member of the Board of Directors for the NTS. Within this role, he is leading as the Convener of the Audit & Risk Management Committee of the BoD, displaying his proficiency in overseeing financial, internal audit functions and operational aspects/guidance. Furthermore, his commitment extends to being an integral Member of the Human Resources Committee, Procurement Committee, and the Nomination Committee of the Board, exemplifying his dedication to fostering excellence and accountability in the organization.

Dr. Sajjad Ahmad Madani (Member)

Dr. Sajjad Ahmad Madani, a distinguished Member of the Board of Directors at NTS, currently assumes the pivotal role of Registrar at COMSATS University, Islamabad (CUI). His academic journey is a testament to his versatility, boasting a PhD in Engineering Sciences and an MSc in Computer Sciences. Dr. Madani's illustrious career encompasses notable positions, including Professor and Director at the prestigious Wah Campus, CUI, as well as the esteemed Professor/In-charge at the Virtual Campus, CUI.
With an impressive career spanning approximately 19 years, Dr. Sajjad Ahmad Madani has accumulated a wealth of experiences across various domains. His multifaceted contributions have significantly enriched the NTS, reinforcing its commitment to excellence and innovation. He holds a critical role as a Member within the Nomination, Human Resources, and Audit & Risk Management Committees of the Board.

Mrs. Ameena Sohail (Member)

Mrs. Ameena Sohail, a distinguished Member of the Board, fulfills the vital role as Independent Director required under the Public Sector Companies (Corporate Governance) Rules, 2013 and female representation, in compliance with Section 154 of the Companies Act, 2017, being a Public Interest Company. Presently, she holds the esteemed position of Senior Partner at Precision Advocates and Consultants, where her legal expertise shines.
Her illustrious career includes a significant role as a "Regulatory Consultant" for the Power Distribution Program under USAID, as well as a notable tenure as a Member (Legal) in the Ministry of IT and Telecom. Additionally, Mrs. Ameena Sohail has served as the Legal Advisor for the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), further demonstrating her deep engagement with regulatory and legal matters.
With a diverse educational background that includes an LLM in International Economic Law and an LLB in Sharia Law, Mrs. Ameena Sohail brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to NTS. Her guidance and direction play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's legal landscape, reflecting her unwavering commitment to legal excellence. Mrs. Ameena Sohail's contributions are of utmost significance as she serves as a key Member on both the Human Resources and Nomination Committees of the Board.

Mr. Shoeb Ahmed (Independent Director)

Mr. Shoeb Ahmed holds the distinguished position of 'Independent Director' in compliance with the requirement under Public Sector Companies (Corporate Governance) Rules, 2013. The said Director was nominated by the Ministry of Science & Technology. He is a central figure within our esteemed Board and brings to the table over 18 years of invaluable industry expertise in the private sector. Mr. Ahmed's pivotal role as the Managing Partner at Gulf Consultancy Services and Director at Gulf Trading Company exemplifies his wealth of experience.
His contributions are of paramount importance to NTS, as he actively participates in the Audit & Risk Management Committee and the Procurement Committee, thereby influencing decisions that safeguard NTS's interests. His diverse experience and unwavering commitment to excellence position him as a driving force propelling NTS toward its continued success.

Mr. Zain-ul-Abideen (Director)

Mr. Zain-ul-Abideen, an esteemed Director at NTS, currently holds the prestigious position of Joint Scientific Advisor and Nominee of the Ministry of Science & Technology. His role as a pivotal Member on both the Audit & Risk Management and Procurement Committees of the Board underscores his significance within NTS. Drawing from a wealth of experience, Mr. Zain-ul-Abideen has previously served as the Director-General at the Pakistan Standards & Quality Control Authority. His contributions have been instrumental in guiding NTS toward a promising future.
